This was just the start of a young girl's dream!!By the time she was 14 she had appeared in a London Show and was performing her own 2 hour show all over the UK in clubs and pubs.
By the age of 16, Maxine had numerous deals offered to her and had signed with a management company who arranged for her to tour the country with her show as well as having numerous personal appearances in the UK's top night clubs, universities, football stadiums, at professional boxing bouts, at The Royal Albert Hall and in shopping centres. She became "Best Night Club Act" and "Best Pub Act".
Maxine appeared at many charity events and worked for the Variety Club. She performed at Battersea Park with many celebrities for Children with Leukemia and also did many charity gigs for Police forces around the country.
She appeared on many road shows working with The Daily Express Road Show, The Daily Star Road Show. At the age of 21 Maxine was invited to take her show to the Entertainment Capital of the World Las Vegas where she performed her own 2 hour show at the world famous Stardust Hotel & Casino along the main drag of the Strip. She went down a storm with American audiences and appeared on CBS & Fox TV networked across America. While in the USA Maxine was invited to sing the British National Anthem for the World Boxing Championship at The Thomas & Mack Centre.
Maxine had many offers whilst in America such as to perform on Broadway playing Young Fanny hill in the hit musical produced by Patrick Swayzee & Directed by Bill Novis and she even turned down an opportunity to perform for 4 weeks with "old blue eyes" himself, Frank Sinatra. This alone created much publicity. Although Maxine was very tempted by these offers, in her heart she decided to come back home where she was offered, and signed, a million-pound contract with a German company to record and promote one album and 3 singles.
She wrote all her own tracks and recorded them with some of the country's top musicians, producers and engineers, he first single Peace" was recorded at The Mill Studios, produced by Stuart Epps and she toured with her own band to promote the recordings. The album My Life I'd Sacrifice was recorded produced by Graham Broad, with three singles taken from this. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen problems within the contract, Maxine had to put this on hold until the contract had expired. However, the time hasn't been wasted as Maxine has continued to write and perform at many private and charitable gigs within the contract.
The album "My life I'd Sacrifice" and singles "It's not enough", "I don't Wanna Know Why" & "Forbidden Love" are available online to purchase. Some of her earlier recording collaboration with American Producer "Smidi" are now available to buy on CDBaby and Spotify.
After a break in the music industry to start a family, Maxine is now free of the contract with the German company and has continued writing and recording new material and working on a new album teaming up with some well respected musicians & producers within the music industry. Her music is a fusion of Soft American Rock blended with some orchestral and guitar driven tunes.
